Six prize monies of 500 euros each and 100 euros for all rally heroes
Plau am See. The Plau bathtub rally will set a strong example for creativity, team spirit, and commitment in 2026: for the first time, every participating team will receive a cash prize. This is made possible by sponsors Manuela Roitzsch, Anke Pohla and family, Ganzliner Beschichtungspulver GmbH, and Christian Brade, who are jointly funding the event's prize money.
The Plau bathtub rally stands for extraordinary ideas, craftsmanship, and lots of fun on the water. Whether it's a club, company, group of friends, or family – anyone can enter the race with a self-built bathtub and become part of the popular spectacle on Lake Plau.
A total of six prizes, each worth 500 euros, will be awarded:
- Most creative U18 team
- Most creative team over 18
- Most atmospheric team
- Fastest team
- Most spectacular downfall
- Audience Award
The first five competition prizes are once again made possible by the commitment of Manuela Roitzsch, who already significantly supported the successful comeback of the bathtub rally.
A new addition is the Audience Award, endowed with 500 Euros, which Anke Pohla and her family are donating. It replaces the originally planned Erotic Award. After joint consultation, the sponsor and organizers consciously decided on an award that appeals to all generations and actively involves the spectators in the event. The audience alone determines the winner by their applause for the individual teams during the rally.
The Ganzliner Beschichtungspulver GmbH and state parliament member Christian Brade are responsible for the biggest innovation of the bathtub rally 2026. Thanks to their support, the new category 'Rally Hero' will be introduced for the first time.
The special thing is: every team receives a participation bonus of 100 euros. This means that for the first time, no team will leave empty-handed. Every crew that invests time, ideas, craftsmanship, and passion into their bathtub and presents themselves to the public will receive financial recognition for their efforts.
The Rally Heroes Bonus should also promote the joint conclusion of the event day. The sponsors wish for the teams to use the bonus to celebrate their participation together at the official after-show party.
The organizer of the after-show party, "KR Event Logistik", also supports this idea and goes one step further: All participants of the bathtub rally receive free admission to the after-show party in the Plauer Burghof and can round off the day together.
