When the Bathtub Rally 2.0 sails across the Elde on 19 July, there will not only be water under the boats - an entire region will contribute to its success. Quiet, strong and unwavering. And it is precisely these people that we want to dedicate a word to today: homeland supporters. Because without them, there would be no rally. No prices. No frame. No feeling of "We can do this together". They are not self-promoters, not loudspeakers – but enablers in the best sense of the word.

Between foam crests and beer trolleys – we are serious about feeling good. While the captains of the curious boats compete on the Elde, no less magic happens on land. It smells of freshly baked waffles, of grilled food with a golden crust and of hand-stirred ice cream that tastes like childhood. We present – once everything that makes you happy:

• • From 11:00 a.m. opens the play, fun and enjoyment mile - and you will see: It's not just about bratwurst and stall magic. It's about encounters, about real faces, about that one moment that sticks. Between potato pancakes and children's laughter, between the scent of waffles and cocktails from the Seehotel.
  • 12:00 p.m. – Parade of possibilities. What would Plau be without its people? The opening parade is more than a prelude. It is a thank you to everyone who participates. Families, clubs, communities – the region is showing its face. And you are right in the middle of it. Performances by the legendary carnival clubs from our neighboring towns of Goldberg and Lübz, our Plauer Fanfarenzug as well as our Burgfestspiel actors and the Malchow marching band will heat you up even before it starts.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Bathtub Rally 2.0 When boats become dreams, it's rally time. From 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Elde becomes a stage. With creativity, with a wink, with team spirit. It's not just Plau paddling, it's a matter of passion and humour. Please be fair, cheer on, have fun – and let yourself be inspired.
  • 4:30 p.m. – Change of location. From the Elde to the market. A small change of location, a big step: Now it's time to celebrate. Now it's time to connect. Because from now on begins what many are looking forward to:
  • 5:00 p.m. – NDR MV Summer Party. Live, loud, loving. With music, moderation and moments for eternity. And at 5:30 p.m. the big moment: the award ceremony of the bathtub rally. Not a trophy that just shines – but one that tells stories.
  • 7:30 p.m. – Plau am See Castle Festival. When day turns to night, it gets under your skin again. Culture, history and emotion on the open-air stage – in the middle of the old town, in the middle of life. Dreams allowed. Goosebumps guaranteed.

The Bathtub Rally 2.0 is no longer an insider tip – it is a heart of the region. And anyone who wants to join in the celebration is cordially invited. Without stress, without detours. Simply enter the Quetziner Str. car park in 19395 Plau am See into your navigation system - and you will end up in the middle of the action.

Anyone who knows Plau knows: Our heart beats between the water and the old town. And precisely because it is so beautiful, space is also scarce on the big day. But don't worry – we've got you covered:

• • 🚫 Closed roads:
    • Market, all 4 waterways, Kirchstraße and Strandstraße
  • 🚫 Do not park:
    • Steinstraße (Thursday, Friday and Sunday), Marktstraße, Markt, all 4 waterways, Kirchstraße, Strandstraße, Eldenstraße and Alter Wall: This is where people dance, celebrate and moderate – no space for cars.
  • ✅ Better parking:
    • Quetziner Straße: Central location, easily accessible.
    • Wittstocker Weg (sports field): Will be opened separately - thanks to all the facilitators there!
    • Wallstr./ An der Metow car park: Ideal for those who want to arrive early and relaxed.
    • Discounter parking spaces: There are also signposts here so that you can find your place safely and quickly.

We are not a big city. And that's a good thing. But we are big in heart, big in action – and it is precisely on days like these that we show what cohesion means. It's not about being perfect. It's about making it possible together.

• So: Please be considerate, keep paths clear, follow the signs - and have an unforgettable day. Because Plau does not celebrate for itself. Plau celebrates with you. Whether you are from here or from further afield – you are welcome. With your energy. With your smile. With your being there.
• And on foot? Easy: Always in the direction of the lift bridge - you will see, hear, feel it. The starting point is directly on the water, in front of the lift bridge to the Hühnerleiter. There, where the lake breathes. Where people meet. And yes – there's something going on! Signs show you the way. And if not: Just follow the colorful hustle and bustle. Balloons, laughter, water splashing - that's your direction.
